Mack's are inexpensive, and for safety reasons, we suggest you use the minimum level of noise protection that will give you the relief you need; you might need to hear the kids or a smoke alarm during the night. At an NRR of 22, Mack's will greatly reduce the noises that disturb you during sleep, but they may still let you hear well enough to let you wake easily in an emergency. The higher the NRR, the less likely that an emergency alarm will wake you.

Clear/white were sold out so we bought the orange ones thinking they were exactly the same. The orange ones are slightly denser and therefore a little smaller than the clear/white and a little harder to mould. Kind of annoying if you have sensitive ears and trouble sleeping, but they do the job.
