The 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ product range offers invaluable tools for people who are exposed to impulse noises. ComTac products products protect against harmful noise while letting in, and even amplifying ambient sounds. Being able to communicate with your surroundings, whilst at the same time being protected from harmful noise levels, is a vital necessity in the military, both for exercises and battle situations. Noise levels are often so high that they can cause immediate and permanent damage to your hearing if adequate protection is not worn.

It can be worn comfortably with other protective equipment and has a level-dependent function to help you stay aware and alert to your surroundings Two-way communication helps you coordinate with your team. Plug and play means it’s ready to work when you are, with no start up time. The fully-independent, dual-earphone system enables talk-through and can connect to an external radio signal. The electronics are completely contained inside the headset housing, so there’s no need for a separate control box, software loads or outside power source, giving you protection that’s safe from power fails. The earplug mode helps you maintain situational awareness when combined with earplugs, and the headset saves power by shutting down automatically when not in use. It has a foldable headband for easy storage and transport. Tested according to the applicable parts of MIL-STD-810G, EMC-MIL-STD-461F.
